contrary to a growing system that has taken what is inherently feminine, diminishes it, and replaces power, self trust, and raw beauty with fear, self doubt, control and protocol.
I trust the body first, while respecting informed medical care when it's necessary.
Intervention should be intentional, not automatic.
My philosophy is mother to mother support, having someone on your team who understands what this season asks of you, respects what you value most, and who will support you to birth in a way that feels aligned and empowered.
I am confident in my ability to help you feel prepared, educated and FULLY CAPABLE walking into your birth.

Doula Support

Entails:
PRENATAL SUPPORT:
Call & text guidance and support throughout pregnancy
Two in-person visits to explore options, educate, discover your birth values and preferences, practice comfort measures and coping strategies, prepare for postpartum, and more!
LABOR SUPPORT:
On call availability from 37 weeks
Continuous emotional and physical support during labor.
Guided support for your partner so they can feel confident and involved
Focused on your comfort, intuition, and autonomy throughout the birth
POSTPARTUM SUPPORT:
One in-home visit after delivery, and 6 weeks of call and text support for lactation, postpartum and newborn guidance .

1.What is a doula?
A doula is someone who knows birth, knows the system, and knows how to help you navigate both. I’m there to help you through the ups and downs of pregnancy, prepare for birth physically & mentally, understand your options, ask better questions, and feel confident making decisions that are right for you. Think of it like a big sister, childbirth educator, advocate and Bff wrapped into one role.
2.Why & When should I Hire a Doula?
Research shows continuous doula support leads to:
- 39% decrease in the risk of cesarean birth
- 15% increase in the likelihood of a spontaneous vaginal birth
- 10% decreased the use of pain medication
- Shorter labors by an average of 41 minutes
- 31% decrease in risk of being dissatisfied with birth experience
- 38% decrease in babys risk of low 5 min APGAR scores
Historically, women have supported other women through birth for thousands of years. Birth has traditionally been something experienced in community, with women passing down knowledge, experience, and practical support from one to the next. A doula is a continuation of that tradition.
When to hire? The sooner, the better! More time ensures i'll be available for your due date, allows us get to know each other, identify & clarify your birth values and preferences, and make a plan for all the things birth inevitably brings up so you can enter labor feeling prepared, confident, and supported.
3.cant my partner be my doula?
Your partner has an incredibly important role in your birth. They know you better than anyone, and their presence, love, and emotional support are something I could never replace.
But chances are, they don’t attend births very often. That’s where I come in.
My job isn’t to take your partner’s place, but to support and be a teammate to both of you. I’m there to help your partner feel confident in their role while I bring the birth knowledge, experience, and perspective to the room.
I’ll remind you both to ask questions, explain things when you may not understand what’s happening, and help you navigate your options as they come up. This often includes offering guidance, providing information about your options, assisting with comfort measures, and attending to both of your needs (eating, drinking, resting, taking breaks, etc.) so your partner can remain fully present and focused on you.
By providing direction and reassurance when needed, I help ease uncertainty and overwhelm, allowing both of you to stay engaged and present throughout the birth experience.
We work together as a team.
4.Can you help me prepare for a VBAC?
Yes! Being a vbac mom myself i know how emotional, intimidating and overwhelming planning for birth after cesarean can be. I am a certified VBAC doula and provide comprehensive, up to date evidence based resources & education on VBAC, your own VBAC handbook, help finding supportive provider and more! everything to help you feel confident and knowledgeable going into your birth.
5.What is your payment policy?
DOULA SUPPORT & BIRTH PHOTOGRAPHY:
I require a non refundable retainer fee of $300 (comes out of your total) to reserve your due date. After that, 1/2 of the remaining is due at your 1st prenatal and the rest by 37 weeks.
